Elena Mason renders her expertise in Finance and Human Resources and her 16 years professional experience as a management consultant, in a variety
of situations and industries. She assisted organizations in developing and implementing business efficiency improvement initiatives. She also assisted in turning funding concepts into reality and then presenting them to Board of Directors, Senior Management, Creditors and Investors.
In 1991 Elena joined Eurasia Shipping & Management, a subsidiary of Bernhard Schulte Group (Hamburg Germany) to establish and head their human resources shared services department. Elena developed and implemented several shore-based personnel programs including 360 degree feedback performance management system, executive development program, compensation and merit designs. During her engagement with Eurasia, she developed procedures, policies and processes, which included (not exhaustive): full automation and integration of legacy systems with a web-based HRIS, payroll, and pension solutions under cloud computing model. The standardization was critical for Eurasia's bid for Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, ISM Certification by Lloyd's Register of Shipping, London and DNV, Norway.
Other industry exposure: Information Technology (firms in start ups and pre-IPO stage), institutions of higher education (IHE's), manufacturing, legal and financial
services, outsourcing and BPO. She applies her knowledge in Business Valuation, Cash Management Strategy, Short Term Cash Flow Liquidity Projection, Cost Reduction Initiatives, Activity Based Costing, and her knowledge of Human Resources Management in support of the clients' organizational objectives.
Some of the most recent projects Elena successfully completed with the UM Global HR team include: Employee Transition and Change Management at Lockheed Martin, Australia, Air New Zealand, Motorola and Affiliated Computer Services (ACS). Elena led the Asia Pacific region in the global transition effort from Motorola HR to ACS HRO. Her other notable projects include: (1) Transitioning a County Transportation Department into its own quasi-government political sub-division entity. These clients are Coconino County and Northern Arizona Intergovernmental Public Transportation; (2) Job Analysis through desktop audits, PAQ and reorganization strategy at NAIPTA; and (3) Change management and compensation redesign at Metropolitan State College of Denver. Elena provided financial modeling and budget impact analysis to determine the sustainability of the initiative as well as project management and dashboard capabilities.
Elena Mason obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Human Resources from the University
of Hong Kong, she received extensive training in the administration and interpretation of MBTI Personality Profile Tests. Her license for MBTI was issued by the Australian Psychological Association. Elena is also a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) conferred by "World At
Work" (formerly American Compensation Society).
