Gabriel Najera renders his expertise and experiences as a global thinker with strong management and analytical skills developed over 27 years in the areas of engineering, field operations, project management, financial analysis, strategic planning, international business development, negotiations, marketing and sales. 

Gabriel works with UM Global HR on projects involving Strategic Planning, Change Management, and Leadership Development. Gabriel's clients commend his creative problem solving skills and his ability to develop visionary solutions to their complex business and technical challenges.

A former faculty member of a Fortune 50 corporate university, he has consulted, designed, lectured, and presented management-training topics to over 3,500 upper level executives. Throughout his 30-year career, Gabriel has held senior management and leadership positions in engineering, project management, operations, strategic planning, sales, negotiations, management training, business consulting, and international business development. Through his experience at all levels of the work force, he has developed a unique panoramic perspective of people at work.

Gabriel’s multi-cultural background and professional experience at all levels of the work force present him with a unique mastery of the complexities of profit and non-profit organizations. Gabriel worked for 20 years with various divisions of Amoco Corporation in progressively more responsible positions. While serving as the manager of International Business Opportunities for Amoco’s Lubricants Business Unit, he developed and implemented business strategies for Mexico, Russia, Poland and China markets, as well as managed international and domestic business relationships with internal and external customers.

Mr. Gabriel Najera obtained his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Chicago, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering with emphasis on Transportation from Michigan State University. He is a former member of the Michigan State Engineering Alumni Development Board and the Museum of Science and Industry's External Relations Committee. He has written numerous articles for trade magazines and literary journals, and is a highly sought after speaker, facilitator, and trainer for corporate and non-profit meetings, trade associations, colleges, and universities.
