About UM Global HR
UM Global HR is an independent guide that compares the ways foreign companies can employ people in the Netherlands, with scores that point to checkable facts.

UM Global HR is an independent guide for founders, HR and finance leads at companies outside the Netherlands who want to employ one to ten people there. It compares employer-of-record services, payroll bureaus and the route of setting up your own Dutch entity.
How we work
Every page follows the same order: a short verdict, the scoring table, then the caveats. A score line only counts when it refers to something a reader can verify, such as a published fee, a contract term, a registration or a legal requirement. Where the outcome depends on salary, the applicable CAO or a specific contract, we say that rather than giving a single number.
What we do not do
- We do not publish scores based on impressions or marketing claims alone.
- We do not give legal or tax advice. Pages explain how things work and what to check; confirm your own case with a qualified adviser.
- We do not hide the conditions behind a price. If a figure excludes employer burden or benefits, the page states it.
Corrections
Prices and terms change. If a fact on a page is out of date, the page is updated and the date at the top changes with it.
The five criteria
| Criterion | What we check |
|---|---|
| Fee clarity | Is the monthly fee published, flat or tiered, and separate from employer burden and benefits? |
| Dutch execution | Who runs payroll, loonheffingen filings and the employment contract in the Netherlands? |
| Time to hire | Working days from signed offer to a compliant contract and first payroll run. |
| CAO & pension | Is the applicable collective agreement and mandatory pension scheme identified and applied? |
| Exit terms | Notice, minimum term and fees when you end the arrangement or move to your own entity. |
